For several years, Nadir Valente’s research reflects the value of copy and original, the reproducibility of images and serial production, using elements which are part of the same language then photocopies and copy paper. He uses photocopies as metaphors of the disposable culture of our times, their being quick to make and cheap; a universal medium for quickly reproducing documents and images.

Documents, images, notes, sketches and drawings form, if abandoned or thrown, a layering of events, intentions, wishes and thoughts, but they still have a story to tell, a historical record of the event in that place and in that timeframe, which can not be that unique.
