Shai-Lee Horodi

Shai-Lee Horodi (b.1993) is a pre-conceptual multidisciplinary artist. Her work revolves the limits of sight and understanding. Through her tabletop monuments and childlike drawings she recasts notions of weight and significance into bite size mumble pieces. Her blind photographs, as well as her still-movies make impossible the pleasure of passivity, offering too little for the lazy but quite enough for the tired. Her eye mirrors try to imprison the gaze of restless, hungry eyes, by tripping them into the trap of their own pupil.

Horodi had solo exhibitions in the Tel- Aviv Museum of Art (2015) and Dvir Gallery (2019, 2020).
She got her BFA at HaMidrasha Faculty of Art(2015), and her MFA at Northwestern(2019).
