Talia Keinan

Talia Keinan is a multidisciplinary artist whose work combines painting, drawing, sculpture, video, and sound. The boundaries between these mediums blur in her exhibitions, creating autonomous spaces with a unique rhythm and a distinct sense of time and light.

Drawing is the foundation of her work, a daily practice that attracts images and experiences from everyday life and her immediate surroundings, serving as the basis for her exploration of imagery and observation. In her video works, Keinan uses light as a tangible material, representing a constantly changing present. She investigates the interaction of light with different materials. Movement, rhythm, presence, appearance, and disappearance are essential elements in her imagery. The dreamlike and the everyday, movement and stillness coexist, complementing and echoing each other in a musical experience.

Keinan graduated with honors from the Fine Arts Department at Bezalel Academy in 2003 and has received several awards, including the Givon Prize, the Wolf Foundation’s Anselm Kiefer Prize, the Gottesdiener Prize, and the Prize for Encouragement of Creativity. She has exhibited numerous solo shows both in Israel and internationally. Select solo exhibitions include Tel Aviv Museum of Art (2014), Museum Goch in Germany (2011), Art Forum Berlin (2007), Art Basel Switzerland (2007), the Tel Aviv Artists’ Studios (2014), Wilfrid Israel Museum (2022), NordArt in Germany (2024), and Noga Gallery (2004, 2010, 2016, 2020).
