Netta Weiser is a Berlin-based choreographer and artist working at the intersection of sound installation performance, and experimental radio. In 2019, she established the long-term artistic research project “Radio-Choreography”. The project develops experimental documentation methodologies for dance through the medium of sound, and explores various ways of broadcasting choreography on the radio. In collaboration with choreographers, theorists, sound and radio artists, she is developing a radiophonic archive of dance practices created by female choreographers in times of migration and border crossing.

Weiser explores the poetics and politics of transforming dance into sound, the relationship between live broadcasting and muted histories, as well as acts of listening as a mode of being together. Probing the interrelations between the body, sound, and radio, she creates hybrid artistic formats, including site-specific radio performances, multichannel sound installations and performative radio conferences.

Her work has been presented at international art venues and dance festivals, most recently at the Akademie der Künste Berlin, Tanzquartier Wien, KW Institute for Contemporary Art Berlin, Onassis Stegi Athens, WDR, Villa Medici Rome, CCA Glasgow, TONSPUR Micro Museum for Sound at the MQ Vienna, Tanznacht Berlin, Tanzmuseum Cologne, Diver Festival for Contemporary Dance Tel Aviv, and Zwerglgarten Pavilion Salzburg. In 2024, the Badischer Kunstverein presented her first institutional solo exhibition in Germany. Alongside her artistic work, Weiser regularly teaches at the Klangzeitort Institute for New Music Berlin and the Universität der Künste Berlin.
